yes, busyness is my excuse for my summer-long absence.

BUT NOW I GET TO TELL YOU OF ALL THE EXCITING ADVENTURES I WENT ON DURING MY ABSENCE!!! YAY ADVENTURE!!!

sooooo in june, after school ended, i didnt really do anything. but i did get lots of sleep, which was niice. i did see SHREK the MUSICAL. IT. WAS. AMAZING. if you put aside the fact that its more of a kids show, the costumes were BEAUTIFUL, the songs were also BEAUTIFUL, the actor's voices were BEAUTIFUL (especially shrek's. brian d'arcy james is amazing) and it was just awesome. but aside that and camp....

but later in july, this camp i made the mistake of being a councilor at took away from 8 weeks of my summer. the camp overall is awesome, i had gone there before as a camper, but being a councilor (no...a freaking CIT) was a huge mistake. i was named "scenic designer" for the sets at my camp. it was a theater camp that put on small showcases with some sort of theme as to what songs they use. for one session, it could be classic broadway, so the campers would sing songs from my fair lady, peter pan, south pacific, etc. you get the point...there was a script to. it made no sense whatsoever, but was still hilarious. but anyway, THE "REAL" COUNCILORS TREATED ME LIKE CRAP. i pretty much became the little kid's (4-7) play thing, and i wasnt even fully in charge of "scenic design", i was just the assistant to this one councilor who had no artistic style and couldnt draw at all. and that was the story of my july. but aside that and camp....i also saw some old camp friends from quite some time ago. the combine power of facebook and nostalgia is what reconnected us, i am thankful

AND NOT TO MENTION I SAW HAIR. OMG, BEST THING SINCE SHREK HAHA, I LOVED IT AND STRONGLY RECCOMEND IT (and shrek teehee) TO ANY BROADWAY GOERS!!!!!!

august was AMAZING, partly cuz my birthday took place. my birthday party was awesome, i took 3 friends to the beach. it was the perfect day for it, but there were hardly any waves. later, we took a family vacation to washington DC which was pretty cool. we went into the capital building. it is MASSIVE. i would post pictures, but im afraid of getting sued or something...sorry. we also visited a buncha museums, i went to the national art gallery with my mommy. we ate delicious spanish food. it was AWESOME. and the art was beautiful

but i think that the true highlight of my summer was the visit to cape may, new jersey. my dad and my sister headed to new york, cuz my grandma got her tickets to mamma mia. i have no interest in the show, so it was just my sister and grandma. but then in our lonesome, me and my mommy decided to go to cape may. to anyone who lives on the eastern coast and wants a quick, convenient, beautiful summer vacation idea, CAPE MAY. all the houses are victorian style with gingerbread designs that are very hard to maintain. the city is apparently 400 years old, being discovered in 1609. the hotel we stayed in was the oldest in the entire city, most of the new hotels arent in victorian style, which our tour guide complained about. it was very nice, because it was a simple little hotel with comfy beds. by the way, there is no such thing as a bad meal in cape may. all of their foods are a taste of heaven. especially their pancakes house. god, how i miss it. i will post some pictures

now that im in my new HIGH SCHOOL, my workload has increased, school starts at 7:30 (believe it) and i am surrounded by freaky senior students. it is nice that i have made some great new friends. i will keep you all updated as the year goes on. BTW my school is doing west side story. i didnt get into acting, so im on COSTUME CREW. the dresses are purdy :3 but i am also THE GOOSE in another theater troupe's production of "Charlotte's web"

well, i think i have wasted enough time here, so that is all i shall say.
